It's been a while since I've posted something. To be honest, at least months haven't passed before I realized I haven't written something.
But to be fair, I have wanted to write something on here. Initially, I've wanted to write something on here during my first day of school because on that particular day I had a two-hour break between my classes, so I knew I was going to bring my laptop with me.
I had decided before that day I was going to spend my break writing a post.
As you can see, that didn't happen.
I completely forgot. It wasn't on my mind and instead in just spent the break watching YouTube videos.
What a disappointment.
It has been pretty busy though, getting used to my classes, finding people to talk to in my classes, you know, the usual for the start of school.
I don't really feel like talking about classes. I don't want to jinx anything or start crying, so we'll just avoid the topic all together.
But in recent news, I am desperate to try the DevaCurl line. Particularly the 3-step process.
I watched practically all the videos pertaining to this subject and let me just say, I love Lorraine Massey. Her curls look amazing, SO defined and practically frizz-free.
I'm jealous.
And in all the clips I've seen from the DevaChan channel, I'm extremely jealous of all the curls. I want those perfect defined frizz-free practically glossy curls. *drool*
I want them.
I honestly want to buy the big bottles because I want to give it a solid month for my hair to get used to it and show results. Because for anything new, particularly skincare and haircare, I want to give it a solid 30 days for my skin and hair to get used to it.
I don't want to get the salon size, which I think is 32 ounces, because that'd be a bit too much. But there is a medium size, 12 ounces I think, is the one I want.
But it's $18.95. $18.95! For one bottle.
What? *sigh*
So I've resigned myself to buying the trial size because that's about $29.95 for a 3 oz bottle of No Poo, One Condition, AnGEL, and Set It Free. I think that'll work out. I am a little concerned that the little 3 oz bottle won't last me longer than one, maybe two showers. But if I really like it, maybe I'll buy the 12 oz if I really like it. Then I can buy bigger bottles of the rest when they run out. Which I think will be the best, in regards to my wallet.
I mean I just spent a good $50 on a pair of boots, so I'm trying to stay away from buying things that can wait. Recently, I've been buying things that I really need.
But I mean it's my hair. I don't know about you, but I can openly admit, I'm a smidgen vain. I like to look nice. It's imperative to my leaving the house.
For example, I'm fortunate enough to have relatively good skin. Don't get my wrong, I get blemishes like everybody else and the skin on my face is a little discolored, but it's nothing to cry over. But if I had pimples all over my face, my sister calls it pizza face (rude, I know), I honestly don't think I could go out without having some sort of mask on my face. Be it makeup or a ski mask. I don't want people to see that when they look at me. No thank you.
Like I said, vain.
I think without a doubt Filipinos as a culture are vain people. I mean all the ladies spend boatloads of money coloring their hair (hiding the grey) and buying the latest accessories (read: name brand).
Now, I'm not going deny the fact that I also love getting these "name brand" pieces. But a lot of these older Filipino ladies like getting the bags with the logo on it. Like the bags with the C's (Coach) or LV (Louis Vuitton), things like that. I like those brands as well, but I prefer the solid color leather bags, I like my bags simple and versatile, so that I can wear them with any outfit as well as last me for years to come. I mean if someone asks me what bag I'm carrying, I'll gladly tell them, but I don't want them to know exactly where my bag is from just by looking at it.
But that's just me.
Also, I don't understand why anyone would want sneakers from these "name brands." They're going to get dirty anyway, so why spend so much money on a sneaker.
I'll stick to my converse and Nike's, thanks.
I'm digressing. A lot.
But yes. Vanity.
I'm lusting after the DevaCurl Starter Kit, which has 12 oz bottles of No Poo and One Condition, a 3 oz bottle of I think Light Defining Gel, 4 or 6 DevaClips, and the DevaCurl microfiber towel.
Lusting after it.
I desperately want it in my life.
Well... that just about concludes this post.
Until next time!

Ahhh...
Don't you love that feeling when you finally finally find the fic you've been searching for?
Such liberation. Such excitement. Such happiness!!!
I read this fic a while ago, I remeber the premise, and the general storyline, but the specifics were fuzzy.
The only thing I could not remember was the title. The one thing keeping me from finding this phantom story.
And I found it! I wasn't even looking for it and there is was. Without even trying.
Yeeessssss.

Can I Just Say...
Step Up Revolution is up there as a Step Up favorite.
But let's be honest, Step Up will forever be in my heart as #1.
But the fourth movie... Wow.
Honestly, when I heard that Step Up made a fourth movie, I wasn't excited, in fact I was dreading it. I love the first movie. I mean who doesn't love Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan? Match made in heaven.
The second movie was eh. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. It didn't get me excited like the first one, and I didn't jump to re-watch the movie. That by the way is a huge indicator in whether or not I like a movie. If I'm excited to watch a movie a second, third, or nth time, then it's guaranteed that I love that movie.
The third one? I didn't like. I don't know. I wasn't interested in Moose in the previous movie, he's a cool character, but to watch a full movie predominantly about him? Didn't hold my interest. I found myself wanting to flip channels when there came a part where I felt bored (which was a lot). But I didn't. I kept watching hoping the movie would pick up. It didn't.
It might've been the whole story arc. You know, they were incoming freshmen and he wasn't so keen on staying as an engineering major and he wanted to pursue dancing somehow. Probably hit a little too close to home and I just couldn't watch it.
But the fourth one? Whoa.
I had put off watching it for a while and eventually I forgot all about it. But then recently, my sister and I were downstairs (my dad doesn't turn on the AC until around 4, so it's hot upstairs) watching TV. I was scrolling through the guide, seeing what else there was to watch because I wasn't interested in whatever channel we were on at that time. And while I was scrolling through HBO, I noticed that Step Up Revolution was about to go on. And I thought I'd give it the old college try.
I. Was. Shocked.
I didn't have many expectations when it came to this particular movie because I was pretty discouraged from the previous two. So I went into the movie thinking it'd be a good time, something that would help pass two hours, but it wouldn't be something I'd be excited about.
How wrong was I?
The opening scene was beautiful. I loved the fact that they went a different route with this movie. A flash mob. How cool is that? The last two movies were basically focused on dance battles and opposing sides. With this one, everyone was on the same side, fighting for the same things. And I loved that.
Of course the lead and his bestie weren't too hard on the eyes.
And can I just say that Misha Gabriel is adorable. His face.... Ugh.
I'm not an avid watcher of SYTYCD (or ABDC: I only watched season 1 in it's entirety, Kabba Modern stole my heart and haven't given it back), so I wasn't aware that there were so many dancers from there in this movie. And that one of them had the lead. Although to be fair, I knew who tWitch was because of his epic dance with Ellen.
My favorite dance however would have to be the Museum. Art coming to life. AH-mazing.
Now, I'd love to upload a YouTube video onto here of all these dances, but I'm not entirely sure how to do that. Also, I'm not sure whether that would fall into copyright issues because technically they are other peoples videos.
I also LOVED the initiation scene. I already loved the song and when I heard the beginnings of that song? Oh. I got excited.
I couldn't contain my excitement. Everything about it was perfect, I loved the setting, the dance, the people, the music, the mood. Ugh, it was all perfect.
And the protest dance? LOOOOOVVVEEEE.
I also loved the fact that after the protest dance, there was a scene where so many celebrity interviewers talked about "the mob." People like Jimmy Kimmel, Mario Lopez, Carson Daly, Jimmy Fallon, and Ellen DeGeneres. That made it so much more realistic, that something that big would garner so much media attention. And I love that all of them made a clip for this movie. How cool was that?
Then, naturally, like any movie, and the Step Up franchise is no exception, there's a conflict quickly followed by the denouement. Which I loved.
Then they all came together, gathered so many people to show to the board/committee/whoever that they weren't going down without a fight. Expressing themselves the only way they knew how: through dance.
Loved the final dance. It was essentially the culmination of the entire movie, and it ended it beautifully.
Honestly, I've seen this movie maybe 4 or 5 times in its entirety since my first viewing. But honestly, I've been watching the dance sequences on YouTube on repeat several times a day.
I'm a woman obsessed.

Rant (Spoilers)
I knew it. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it.
It was fishy from the beginning. I mean Jessica partners with Darby. And then soon after that he brings his own pit bull into the ring and pushes him at Harvey.
I smelled a betrayal in the works. I knew Stephen was up to something. No one just up and helps people out of the goodness of their hearts from across the pond. From a new partner who no doubt has his own agenda.
Donna gets burned by Stephen. And then Harvey gets burned.
Gaaaaahhhhh.
This show.
On a side note, I loved last episode. It had flashbacks all throughout. I knew Donna and Harvey had to have slept together. But they kept saying they didn't and I guess I thought that I was being ridiculous because I just don't want holes in my ship.
And now I find out that they did sleep together.
And while I'm totally glad that Harvey brought Donna along with him to Pearson Hardman and fought for her position, I can't help but remember her face.
I mean Harvey opened with "I can't loose you."
What girl isn't going to be over the moon that the guy she likes is admitting he can't be without her?
But then he goes in for the kill and tells her about the job at Pearson Hardman.
I mean you had to realize that that night meant so much to her. And that Harvey means so much to her.
She showed no emotion. I don't know if I could keep it cool in that situation.
Probably would've burst into tears.
Poor Donna.
Now my Harvey/Donna ship is preparing itself for war. But I'm ready for it. This ship won't go down without a fight.
It'll turn out well in the end.
Just you wait.

Obsession.
Now, I'm the first to admit that it doesn't take much for me to obsess over something. I get attached to things easily.
For the past couple of days, while channel surfing, I find myself on E! network and a show called "Total Divas" is on. I'd never heard of it prior to seeing a scene where Nattie and Nikki are trying on lingerie.
Surprising fact: I enjoy WWE.
Shocking. I know. Additionally, I also enjoy boxing, but that'll be a whole other post.
So imagine my surprise when I found out that WWE teamed up with E! network to make a reality show of the Divas. Granted, while not all the veterans and greats are there, I do like the girls on the show.
Reality shows, man. I'm addicted. They're totally bad for you. I know. But they are soooooo addicting.
But back to wrestling. The Bella Twins are on there. I will be the first to admit I love "twin magic."
There are some people out there that hate it, but let's be real people. WWE is a show, these girls (guys also) are essentially entertainers. They do what they do to provide a show for us. When I watch matches on YouTube of The Bella Twins, there are a lot of comments about how they cheat.
It's a show, people. They provide entertainment and they play their characters.
I enjoy it. Who doesn't enjoy some pre-determined wins?
But back to the show. Total Divas.
I'm obsessed. I love the drama. But at the same time, it reminds me how boring my life is in comparison.
I like how we get to see their personalities a bit better. Because from watching matches, you essentially get to know their characters, the person they're paid to put forth. And the tv show gives us a way to gauge who they are outside of the ring.
I will tel you though, there is one person I'm glad is not on the show.
AJ.
For some reason, she just pisses me the fuck off. She's annoying, she's a bit slutty, she's kinda bratty...
And that thing she did on stage? With Dolph?
YYYYYYUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKK!!
Like, honestly? Dolph Ziggler?
I'm not bashing him as a wrestler, he's good at what he does.
But... I just don't like him. Don't ask me why or ask to me defend myself. Because I won't. i don't have a reasonable or logical answer to that other than: "I just don't."
Wrestling is so fabulous. I forget who said it, might be one of the Bellas, but in one of the promos, someone said that WWE is "Broadway with body slams." And I think that's a great way to describe it.
I also like watching the relationships. Because apart from watching the matches, I try not to get involved in all the relationships and stuff.
But clearly that can no longer be the case as I watch more and more of "Total Divas."
And without a doubt, I will get attached to couples and then slowly become obsessed, to the point of probably stopping my watching of the show should something happen that I don't like.
Story of my life (regarding television and fanfiction). It's irrational, I know.
But yes. There's only been 4 episodes and I'm beginning to develop attachments to almost all the couples.
Not so much Vincent, though. The eyebrows? Sorry, no.
I do adore John and Nikki. I know a lot of people think both Nikki and Brie are gold-diggers and that's the only reason they're with John and Daniel (respectively).
I beg to differ. I mean, this is a reality show. We see what the producers want us to see and what they think will produce higher ratings. And from that limited perspective into people's lives, everyone seems comfortable in making judgements and statements about people and their relationships that they have no business making.
It's like gossip in high school.
Something, by the way, I hated. I stayed out of that dirty business as much as I could.
... That got way deeper than I intended.
But I do love John and Nikki. They're so cute together. They're both incredibly gorgeous and I think they complement/fit each other well.
They're such a glamorous couple. I love Nikki's style. It's classy with a pinch of slutty. And I love that.
I'm about to get real serious here and discuss the issue of "slutty." It has such a negative connotation these days and I don't like that. We can all agree on the fact that a "slut" is someone (female or male, I've found out) that sleeps around a lot. I mean, yes, it's disgusting if that person knowingly sleeps with attached people. I agree with that whole-heartedly. But if they're both single and consenting? Then what's the issue? Sexuality is a great thing. I think that knowing your body and being happy with your body and with yourself is the key to happiness.
Deep moment: over.
There was an episode where John wore a button down and a tie. I'll be honest, that threw me. But there was also an episode where he was shirtless and chopping wood.
Can i just say... Lady wood, party of one.
But that's enough of my lusting.
As for Brie and Daniel. I do love them. But that beard?
I'm not into that. Nope. I like Daniel a lot better clean-shaven. I've heard/read that some people think he looks like a teenager without the beard, but I like my men clean-shaven. I'm with Nikki on that regard.
It reminds me of the epidemic currently affecting Hollywood celebrities.
The hobo look?
Long hair and that long full scruffy beard?
Men like John Mayer, Antonio Banderas, Brad Pitt.
Brad Pitt! Such a gorgeous man, ruining it with a beard.
These poor celebrities. Afflicted with something terrible and they don't even know it.
I know some ladies are into the hair. I don't mind a bit of scruff, a bit of 5 o'clock shadow. But that's it. That's where I draw the line.
Similar to how I don't like long hair on men. Not my cup of tea. I think this hatred started back during Gilmore Girls.
If you know the show, you probably know who I'm talking about.
I mean when he was introduced to the show, he was fairly innocuous. I found him a little boring, to be frank.
But then it happened. He slept with Rory. Took away her innocence. And made sweet naive Rory the other woman.
WHAT A BASTARD!!!
The hatred I have for Mr. Dean Forrester is unreal and unparalleled.
It's one of the reasons I can't watch Supernatural. During the one episode i managed to make it through, i found myself wanting to curse him out. And that interrupted my viewing pleasure, so I quickly put the kibosh on watching that show.
Oh, in case you were wondering, I'm 5000% a Rogan fan. I cried for days after the series finale. I'm holding out on the Gilmore Girls movie, where the lovely producers can get their head out of their asses and get their shit together. I need Rory and Logan to reunite and eventually rekindle their relationship and be on their way to a happy and fulfilled life together.
(BTW, this is the reason I am so obsessed with fanfiction. It's a way to get myself the happy ending and/or the closure I was never granted)
I was sooo incredibly mad with how those Palladinos ended the show. I mean Lorelai gets her happy ending with Luke (I prefer myself some BalconyBuddy, but Luke's cool) and Rory gets what? Her education? Her future career opportunities?
What? In what universe it that ok?!
That just pissed me off and when I experience extreme levels, high or low, of any emotion, I cry.
And cry I did.
It was an emotional time for me. Couldn't keep it together for days after that.

I feel like I covered so many topics in this post. I'll admit my thumbs are starting to feel the burn. And not in a good way.
BTWs, blogging is a lot more convenient now that I have the app. I was a little hesitant about getting it. It had such a low review and there were a lot of negative reviews on the ability to upload pictures within a post.
But these posts seems to be rather rant-y and I don't need to add pictures. I think if I want to add pics to a post I'll do it on my computer. Problem solved!

😐
Guess where I am?
That's right. The doctor's office.
For my sister's follow-up appointment. And it's humid as hell today. Why couldn't she have this appointment on a day when it's a nice breezy? Am I just not one of the lucky ones?
The answer to that rhetorical question, ladies and gentlemen, is no. Definitely not.
Don't get me wrong, I have my good days when everything seems to be going my way, but today just isn't one of those days.
Not only that, but I am hella hungry. I should've eaten before coming here but now I'm stuck here until my sister finishes her check-up.
Boredom and starvation, party of one.
And I feel cramps coming on.
Do you think people would notice if I curled up in fetal position and cried a little?
I mean, I can be discrete.
And now it's raining and thundering.
When it rains, it really fucking pours. Pun intended.
Kick a girl while she's down, why don't you?
Why? Why me?
Until next time, ladies and germs.
